This blog is a side project for me and costs time and money to run. My hope is that one day it becomes self-sustainable. For this reason, I use affiliates – this is a type of advertising that takes nothing from your pocket but may give me a few quid here and there from the companies involved. These companies, and a few others, may access some of your data while you are using the site. The main companies are listen below, but I add others when companies I personally use offer an affiliation:

Amazon

  • This website participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. The program enables us to earn money by linking to amazon.com and affiliated websites.

Google

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to your website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Ads Settings

Slimpod

Slimpod is, in short, a programme to help people lose weight. Yeah, I know, that sounds miserable. But this programme does it without a diet, by retraining your brain to think about food and exercise differently. I signed up for the weight loss, but I stayed for the amazing mental health benefits I have seen since joining. I describe to others as a wellbeing programme, because that’s the best thing that it has give me. Weight loss is a nice little side bonus!
