Low-key big living

Tue Review: 9 August 2016

We’re doing really well with our daily exercise, but I am highly susceptible to “DOMS” – delayed onset muscular soreness. The next day after strength training, I’m fine. The 2-3 days after that, I’m wobbling on stairs like I’m walking a tightrope. Adding that to the longer hours at work and the evenings disappear much quicker. I feel very good about it all, but I’m aware that I’m not interacting with friends so regularly. Most are used to that!

Goal Check!
Brain Goal: I will read 5 books by Christmas.
Action: That’s it. I’m packing my book in my handbag tomorrow.

Body Goal: I will exercise for 30 minutes every day, outside when the weather permits.
Action: I’m actually doing really well on this, other than one day when I had a small meltdown and wanted to die. That used to be the entire definition of working out for me, so I’m very happy that I usually avoid the nasty thoughts.

Soul Goal: I will create a post for each of the new places I’ve visited this year.
Action: I did suggest that we have a reminiscing session and he was open to it. But as per usual, the weekend disappeared before I could get to all my to-dos. Typical!
