Low-key big living

Tue Review 17 May 2016

Found a note I left for myself earlier this week. All it said was “Dress Shorts”. Confused. I don’t wear shorts.

In the hectic productivity of the last week, I got into a habit of writing down notes on scraps of paper the moment I thought of them.  This is generally a good idea, except that this would occur at work, which meant I would then fold up the piece of paper and put it in my handbag.  My handbag now looks like a ballot box. I have managed to get some things done, but I’m still feeling far behind… organisationally. On the other hand, I’m feeling very upbeat listening to Eurovision music!

Another bonus for the week is that the ad for my current job went live online today! I am hopeful for a lot of good quality applicants that have lots of experience so I don’t have to do a bit handover.  I am also realistic, so I’ve written a manual which is now up to 23 pages and on one of my many scraps of work notes is a list of 15 more points I know I need to add.  I’ll be very busy at work this week!

Goal check!

Brain Goal: I will read 5 books by Christmas.
Action: Well, I have not yet established a routine for this.  I don’t think I read at all in the last week.  Oops. There looks to be more time on the horizon for this. Combining the hours of the new job and the planned commute, I should be able to get in a good 30 minutes of reading each day.

Body Goal: I will exercise for 30 minutes every day, outside when the weather permits.
Action: Less sunshine this week, but the exercise routine has been maintained. Tick!

Soul Goal: I will visit 12 new places by Christmas (only 3 to go)
Action: We have booked a mini-break in Scotland!  So in June I will be ticking off a new location: Glendevon.
